| Reading the dense inpenatrable text of a privacy policy will often discourage the casual reader before the end of the first sentence. The purpose of a privacy policy is to inform you of the privacy you are waving when you endorse it. It forms a contract to allow them to get out from under standard privacy laws. As an example, PayPal has a contradictory privacy policy that openly says (last checked April 6th, 2007):
"We may disclose the information we collect to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements"
